GIS Engineer Job

Job Description

·         Experience in building services using aspmap, Decarta, ESRI, external APIs and SDKs.

·         Experience in mobile devices and mobile networks, Java,.NET.

·         Work involves responsibility of assisting in the evaluation, design, installation, maintenance and enhancement ofGISapplications, specifically to integrate theGISwith existing data sources to improve accuracy and availability; and to provide expanded accessibility to existing and newly created data.

·         Position requires hands-on experience inGISapplication design, programming, implementation, and support for GIS applications with emphasis on Internet mapping applications and tools.

·         Assist in the development of project proposals, recommend optimal approaches and developGISapplication designs.

·         Worked with aGISsoftware team and have used ArcObjects, Java, JavaScript, and Oracle to developGISbased web applications.

·         Must have hands-on experience using the ESRI ArcGIS suite of products, including Arc Desktop, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server (version 9.3 is preferred), ArcGIS Mobile, ArcSDE, WebADF.

·         Must have demonstrated ability to lead/direct junior levelGISdevelopers.

·         Experience in creating working prototype applications to demonstrate the feasibility of building full-scale programs to address GIS and other spatial data related issues and opportunities.

·         Experience or knowledge of ArcGIS REST API, SOAP API, ArcSDE API.

·         Experience or knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL.

·         Experience in web application development (front-end presentation-tier) and/or data tier development.
