Job Summary
AECOM are seeking a Senior Highways CAD to join our Doha office. This role will lead the production of accurate 2D/3D documentation and robust building information models (BIM) on a project basis with team management tasks within the Highways CAD team.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the CADD Manager.
• Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
• Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline model information, presentation, and coordination.
• Takes accountability for work performed by all team members under their supervision
• Responsible for setting and meeting project deadlines.
• Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Works with BIM Technicians to understand project BIM setup
• Comprehends and adheres to project BIM plans and standards
• Collaborates/ communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common model development tasks
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
• Lead less experienced drafters.
• Works with CADD Manager and project engineers to communicate, problem solve, and update models for coordination and design issues
Minimum Requirements
Profession Experience .

• 10+ years of experience in the use of AutoCAD/Civil 3d, Navisworks and/or other BIM software
• Civil 3D experience is a must.
• Infraworks experience will be advantageous.
• Leading a team on large Infrastructure Projects
• Projectwise experience

Functional & Technical Skills
• 2D/3D Design – technical background in the production of discipline-specific 2D/3D design documentation
• BIM Technology – proficiency in design and production, and integration of these using BIM technology
• Design Process and Standards – knowledge of standard CAD and BIM processes, standards and general approaches
• Communication – ability to communicate internally and externally through written and verbal means

AECOM are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Hydrology Specialist for a project tender in Jeddah, working on a range of hydraulic, pumping station and storm water projects.
This position will be responsible for Hydrology Studies, Stormwater systems, design & analysis of Flood mitigation facilities, Hydraulic design/analysis of dams, Drainage channels and pump stations.
Additional duties may include but are not limited to supervising and mentoring staff, managing projects, responsible for managing and retaining client relationships, attending meetings, coordinating with other design and project engineering staff, resolution of client inquiries, communications with regulatory agencies and other related tasks.
Minimum Requirements

• Must also be familiar with design of hydrology projects and analysis studies.

Key Accountabilities:

 Collect samples to be tested, register, test, store, and dispose of them in accordance with applicable standard laboratory quality procedures.

·         Before each test, ensure each equipment to be used is in good working order and calibrations are up to date; carry out routine maintenance as well as performance checks, when required.

·         Conduct the required tests either laboratory on in-situ, and record the results accurately.

·         Produce test data on standard format worksheets in a precise and timely manner in accordance with standard procedure, and sign the worksheet at the completion of a test.

·         Perform test data calculations, plot results and prepare test reports to be checked by a Senior Technician or Laboratory Manager.

·         After a test, ensure equipment and tools are in good condition, and if not ensure they receive proper attention and rectification; keep superior informed and take appropriate actions. Perform general housekeeping duties in the laboratory.

·         Perform an independent check of test data worksheets completed by other technicians and sign the worksheet as checked.

·         Provide on- the- job supervision and advice to Assistant Technicians when instructed by Laboratory Manager.

·         Escalate unusual findings or difficulty in testing new or varied material or problems that cannot be solved at own level, to superiors well in time.

·         Attend training sessions on Standard Testing procedures, Quality and keep self-updated and familiar with the Quality Manual.

Requirements

Qualifications required:

 BSc in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

 Skills / experience required to do the job:

 At least 5 years of working in a large scale accredited laboratory, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience before FME.

·         Familiar with ISO 17025 requirements related to testing, calibrations and audits

·         Should have independently tested a variety of soils, rocks, aggregates, concrete and other building materials and be  familiar with the usual tests, viz. Sieve analysis, Fineness Modulus, Proctor test (MDD & OMC), Liquid limit, Plastic limit, Plasticity Index, CBR, Field Density Test (Sand replacement method), Clay, Silt & Dust content of sand; Elongation index, Flakiness index, Specific Gravity, Abrasion Value, Water Absorption,  Aggregate Impact value, Aggregate Crushing Value; Concrete sampling, Slump test, Concrete Compressive strength, Concrete coring,  Rapid chloride permeability Test, Initial surface absorption Test, Water Permeability Test, Water absorption Test; Cement Consistency, Setting time(Initial & Final), Soundness, Fineness. Hot mix asphalt sampling and testing including binder content and grading, bulk density, Marshall Stability and Flow, Theoretical Maximum Density, Air Voids

·         Must also be well acquainted with Industry Standards against which testing is performed e.g. ASTM, AASHTO, BS etc. and have knowledge of calibration /verification requirements for test equipment.

·         Deputise for the Laboratory Supervisor in his absence for routine supervision, with authorisations for invoicing and contracts being escalated to superiors.

·         Should be able to perform new tests under supervision, with ability to learn the techniques quickly with the aid of Method Statements and Work Instructions and other documents.

·         Use and verify different equipment and tools.

·         Dexterity in handling different equipment, tools and chemicals.

·         Accuracy in reading results of tests and recording them correctly.

·         Analytical and problem solving skills to solve routine problems independently and escalate other issues to superiors, well in time.
